Install Note:

Follow these installation steps if the shifter won't engage reverse gears.

1. Remove the plate with three triangle bolts.
2. Jack up the car and locate the shifter assembly underneath.
3. Pull down the rubber cover to expose a bolt.
4. Loosen and remove the bolt, then pull the shifter out from the interior.
5. Rotate and align the plastic piece around the ball in the assembly.
6. Reinsert the bolt while balancing a fork between the shifter.
7. Tighten everything down, and you're done.

Description & Feature
A true short shifter decreases throw by reducing the angle that the shifter shaft travels through during its stroke between gears. By reducing the angle that the shaft travels through between gears, the distance that your hand needs to move between gears is also reduced. In many cases, the shifter shaft is also re-designed to be shorter than stock thus creating a sportier look and feel, as well as aiding in reducing the linear throw length when coupled with the reduced angular throw.
